Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant

A certified nursing assistant is a person who is responsible for providing basic medical care. The job duties of a nursing assistant include taking a person’s pulse, temperature, blood pressure, respiration and assisting with the activities of daily living. They are usually employed in hospitals or in the homes of people who are elderly or disabled. This can be a very rewarding profession, but people who are interested in it should be patient, affable and be able to tolerate the sight of blood and other bodily fluids.
