The "Sportsmanship Award" would go out to (R) Pat "Surfcat" Emery (if there was such an award) after Kevin DaFoney broke his leash in the DeadHeat and was being hammered by huge set waves, Pat grabbed a leash, picked up KD's  board and paddled it out to him.  He tossed him the board and swam back thru the heavy surf.  Pat had just enough time to catch his breath and then went out and took second in the Finals.  A very cool gesture indeed.
